for antique books, fashion magazines, glossy brochures and fine art catalogues. Here, the colours had to be of a very high standard and had to match the products exactly. Through this, my first career, I learned the skill of understanding colours and the importance of attention to detail.
I have been a serious collector of early antique clocks for many years. 15 years ago I began to write articles on the subject, and started to take photographs of my clocks to accompany these. Since then, I have taken thousands of photographs of clocks and general antiques in order to achieve the finest results.
When I began working with antiques I quickly realised that, when introducing a clock or general antique to a client for the very first time, it is so important to show the desirability of the item and I asked myself “What is the point of spending money advertising a desirable item (by journal or email) if the picture does not represent the true beauty of the antique?”
I am passionate about antiques, especially clocks, and I aim to bring the piece to life within my pictures. I find that my background in printing complements my photographic work in terms of my colour consciousness, attention to detail, and my natural and genuine passion for antiques, and that these attributes together allow me to achieve a top quality result.
I live and work in the London Borough of Bexley, but also travel the country to work ON SITE for my clients. So, if you are not totally satisfied with the results that you are getting with email/web or brochure pictures, please do not hesitate to
